Margarita Hadjitofi – Partner
Prior to founding M. Hadjitofi LLC in 2017, Margarita was a partner in the corporate, commercial, and M&A department of a leading international law firm in Limassol. With nearly two decades of experience since her admission to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2007, she is recognized as an expert in joint ventures, corporate transactions, and restructurings, and frequently advises on banking and finance transactions.
Margarita has extensive experience advising multinational corporations, financial institutions, and local enterprises on complex corporate and commercial matters. Her work spans a wide range of industries, including technology, fintech, mobile-gaming applications, hospitality and beverages. She has led numerous cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings, frequently coordinating with international law firms and advisors on multi-jurisdictional projects.
In addition to her transactional practice, Margarita sits on selected boards and serves as a trusted advisor on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic business structuring. She is regularly sought out by boards and senior executives for guidance on governance and strategic decision-making.

Maria Demetriou – Senior Associate
Maria joined M. Hadjitofi LLC in 2018 and is a Senior Associate. She was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2016 and has notable expertise in transactional work, corporate restructurings, and cross-border advisory mandates.
She regularly advises clients on structuring complex transactions and has substantial experience in drafting and negotiating joint venture and shareholders’ agreements, subscription agreements, franchise and management agreements, licensing agreements and other contractual instruments. Maria has extensive experience leading cross-border reorganisations involving mergers, de-mergers, acquisitions, and redomiciliations, across a wide range of industries. She also advises on domestic restructuring projects and represents clients in anti-monopoly submissions before the Cyprus Competition Authority.
Maria’s practice further extends to the technology sector, where she acts as trusted counsel to investment companies on corporate, transactional, and commercial matters. She also advises on banking and finance transactions, including securitisation structures and the preparation of legal opinions, and has acted for clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals to multinational organisations.
Maria is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner with the Cyprus Bar Association and is frequently appointed as a liquidator in winding-up proceedings under Cyprus law.

Chloe joined M. Hadjitofi LLC as a Senior Associate in 2025. She was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2015 and, since then, has built extensive transactional and advisory experience during her career at a Big Four professional services firm, where she held a senior role prior to joining the firm.
Chloe provides end-to-end support on a wide range of corporate and commercial law matters, with particular expertise in complex corporate restructuring and streamlining exercises for multinational groups, including cross-border reorganizations. She also plays a key role in major M&A transactions, assisting with due diligence, preparing transaction documents, and coordinating closing deliverables. In addition, she is highly experienced in drafting complex commercial agreements, legal opinions, and securitization as well as other banking-related documentation.
Chloe’s advisory work extends to EU regulatory and competition law matters, with a particular focus on merger control and compliance. She has advised prominent market players, including one of the largest energy groups in Cyprus, on compliance with commitments imposed by the Commission for the Protection of Competition. Her experience also spans a broad range of related practice areas, including Cyprus international trusts, intellectual property, and employment law.
